Back to where it all started

Crete, Greece 1990. I took a job working security at a night club in Agios Nikolaos. 27yrs later I'm returning.

I'm currently in 'the next town' Elounda and I've just been given a heads up that there is a Red Bull cliff diving event taking place at the 'bottomless' lake in 'Ag Nik' starting tomorrow and continuing until Sunday.

It feels kinda strange/emotional even scary, dare i say, to be returning to the first place i worked abroad for an extended period. Although somewhat fitting to return to 'where it all started'.

Although this type of event isn't something i'd normally shoot I'm super excited about doing it. Not just because it gives me the chance to visit Ag Nik after such a long time but Red Bull events are notoriously well planned, exciting and full of energy. I hope i can capture the energy this type of event gives off and with a little bit of luck and maybe a bit of sweet talking gain a all access pass (although it'll take some serious sweet talking as most AAA passes are gone)

So, its an early night for me as i want to get there at the start of practice and return each day for the main event. Wish me luck!
